Family Slaughtered in Parisian Suburb: Suspect Apprehended in Christmas Day Tragedy

French police have arrested a 33-year-old man suspected of murdering his wife and four children in Meaux, 40km northeast of Paris.

The victims, a woman and her children aged between nine months and 10 years, were found dead in their flat. The prosecutor described the scene as one of “extreme violence.”

The suspect, known to the police for a previous domestic violence case, was traced through CCTV footage and apprehended at his father’s home in Sevran. In 2019, he attacked his partner with a knife.

The latest incident revealed signs of “a cold weapon” used on the victims. The Paris region has witnessed a recent series of tragic events, including infanticides.
